Annica Duell Liljeblad is a Swedish actress, whose latest accolade was to be handpicked by director Ruben Östlund for his film, The Square. In the role of Sonja, she played alongside Elizabeth Moss and Dominic West in the 2017 Palme D’Or winner. The Square is nominated for Foreign Language Film for Oscars 2018
Starting out at a young age, Annica played a range of roles in theatre productions during her childhood. Then she moved on to present popular shows on national Swedish Television. These years leading live-programs helped Annica to build her confidence and sharpen her improvisation skills.
Now Annica has returned to her first love – acting – and is rapidly becoming a well-known face on Swedish television screens. Industry insiders predict that she will become one of those actors that land their career-defining roles and reach their prime later on in their career.
